Sumitomo Riko has been awarded the "Committed Badge" in the 2026 sustainability assessment conducted by EcoVadis (headquartered in France).
This badge is awarded to companies that have achieved an overall score of 45 or higher across four non-financial themes—Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement—and are making steady progress in their sustainability initiatives.

CDP

CDP is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) that assesses companies’ environmental impact and initiatives related to climate change, water security, and forests. Scores are assigned on an eight-level scale ranging from A to D-; in the 2025 reporting cycle, over 22,100 companies worldwide disclosed information.
In the 2025 assessment, we received a "B" score for both the Climate Change and Water Security, maintaining the same rating as the previous year. We remain committed to our ongoing initiatives and information disclosure as we work toward realizing a sustainable society.

Master Certified Aichi Biodiversity Company

In November 2025, Sumitomo Riko was certified as a “Master Certified Aichi Biodiversity Company” under the Aichi Biodiversity Company Certification Program, which recognizes companies demonstrating outstanding biodiversity conservation initiatives.
This recognition reflects the Company’s ongoing efforts to promote biodiversity in collaboration with local communities, particularly in and around Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture, where its Komaki Head Office and Plant are located.

Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization

We have been certified as a "Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization 2026 (Large Enterprise Category)—White 500"—an honor awarded to the top 500 corporations demonstrating excellence in health and productivity management—for the second consecutive year. Furthermore, we have received certification under the "Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization" program for ten consecutive years, dating back to 2017.
Moving forward, we will continue to position health and productivity management as a key initiative, promoting it by raising employee health awareness and striving to enhance job satisfaction and engagement.
In addition, three companies within our group—SumiRiko Oita AE Co., Ltd., SumiRiko Kyushu Co., Ltd., and SumiRiko Yamagata Co., Ltd.—have been certified under the "Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program 2026 (SME Category)." Guided by the belief that the physical and mental well-being of all employees and their families forms the management foundation supporting the company's sound and sustainable growth, we will continue to promote health and productivity management across the group in collaboration with our health insurance association.

In February 2026, the company was certified as a "Sports Yell Company" by the Japan Sports Agency for the third consecutive year, in recognition of our proactive efforts to provide opportunities for exercise and promote employee health.
Moving forward, we remain committed to fostering a workplace environment where employees can continue to work energetically, pursuing various health promotion activities—such as encouraging regular exercise habits.

We are registered with Aichi Prefecture as a company committed to achieving work-life balance.
In 2009, we received the Aichi Prefecture Governor's Commendation as a company that is making excellent efforts to set a good example for others, for example by establishing an in-house childcare center.

Companies that support balancing work and nursing care : TOMONIN

Since fiscal year 2019, we have been recognized as a company that promotes the development of a workplace environment where employees can balance work and caregiving responsibilities. We have also published our initiatives on the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s “Ryoritsu Shien no Hiroba” (Work-Life Balance Support Portal) and obtained the “Tomonin” mark. We will continue working to further improve our workplace environment.

The "Hataraku Yell" program is implemented annually by the Executive Committee of the Employee Benefit Program Awards and Certification System, which is operated by companies that provide employee benefit services. The program recognizes and certifies corporations that provide benefits that support workers and are willing to enhance and utilize their benefits programs.
We have been certified as a "welfare promotion corporation" for five consecutive years.
