EcoVadis

Sumitomo Riko has been rated in the top 50%, or Bronze, of EcoVadis' (headquartered in France) 2024 Sustainability Survey. More than 150,000 companies worldwide have been evaluated by EcoVadis on four non-financial themes: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. We will continue to focus on sustainability initiatives to drive further performance improvement.

CDP

CDP is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) that sends questionnaires to companies on climate change, forestry, and water security to evaluate their efforts. The final score is made at eight levels: leadership level (A, A-), management level (B, B-), awareness level (C, C-), and information disclosure level (D, D-). In fiscal year 2024, over 24,800 companies worldwide disclosed information.
We have received a B score in both the climate change section and the water section of the fiscal 2024 evaluation, continuing on from last year. We will continue our efforts and information disclosure to realize a sustainable society.

FTSE Blossom Japan Index

We have been selected as a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Index for fiscal year 2024.
The FTSE Blossom Index series is created by FTSE Russell, a global index provider, and was developed to identify companies with high ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) ratings and to measure their performance. The FTSE Blossom Japan Index is designed to be industry neutral and consists of 310 Japanese stocks (as of June 19, 2023).

FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index

We have been selected as a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index for fiscal year 2024.
The FTSE Blossom Index Series, created by global index provider FTSE Russell, is an index developed to identify and measure the performance of companies with high ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) ratings. The FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is designed to be sector neutral and consists of 605 Japanese stocks (as of June 19, 2023).

MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index

In fiscal year 2024, we were selected as a constituent of the MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index, one of the ESG indices for Japanese equities used by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).
The MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index is an ESG investment index created by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), a U.S. company that calculates stock price indexes. The MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index is used as the parent index and is composed of companies that excel in ESG evaluations within their respective industries. Our company has received an “A” rating in the latest MSCI rating.

SOMPO Sustainability Index

Based on the results of the fiscal 2024 Sustainability Survey, we have been selected as a constituent of the SOMPO Sustainability Index for fiscal 2025, which was established by Sompo Asset Management Co., Ltd.
The SOMPO Sustainability Index consists of approximately 300 companies that excel in environmental (E), social (S), and governance (G) initiatives, and is used in SOMPO Sustainable Management, an ESG management product for pension funds and institutional investors that invests broadly in companies with high ESG ratings.

Aichi Biodiversity Certified Companies

In November 2023, in recognition of our efforts to conserve the environment and restore nature in the neighborhoods near our business activities, including cleaning up the Oyama River adjacent to our Komaki Head Office and Manufacturing Plant (Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture), exterminating the invasive alien species of Lanceleaf tickseed, and supporting activities of local organizations through subsidies, we were certified as an Aichi Biodiversity Certified Company by Aichi Prefecture.

Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization

In March 2025, we were certified as a one of the “White 500” companies under the 2025 Certified Health & Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program, which is given to the top 500 corporations with excellent health management practices. This is the ninth consecutive year since 2017 that we have been recognized as a “Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization.”
We will continue to position health management as an important measure and promote health management by raising employee awareness of health and working to improve job satisfaction and engagement.

Sports Yell Company

In February 2025, we were recognized by the Sports Agency as a “Sports Yell Company” for the second consecutive year as a company that is actively engaged in the implementation of sports.
We will continue to engage in various health promotion activities, including the development of exercise habits, to create a workplace environment where employees can continue to work with vigor and enthusiasm.

In March 2017, we received certification as a ☆☆Futatsuboshi as a company promoting women's activities.
We are working toward certification as a ☆☆☆ Mitsuboshi company.

Companies committed to achieving work-life balance: Aichi Family Friendly Companies

We are registered with Aichi Prefecture as a company committed to achieving work-life balance.
In 2009, we received the Aichi Prefecture Governor's Commendation as a company that is making excellent efforts to set a good example for others, for example by establishing an in-house childcare center.

Companies that support balancing work and nursing care : TOMONIN

Since fiscal 2019, we have announced our efforts in the "Support for Balancing Work and Nursing Care" section of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as a company committed to promoting the development of a workplace environment that allows employees to balance work and nursing care. We are continuing to further improve the environment.

Companies willing to enhance and utilize employees’ benefit packages: Hataraku Yell

The "Hataraku Yell" program is implemented annually by the Executive Committee of the Employee Benefit Program Awards and Certification System, which is operated by companies that provide employee benefit services. The program recognizes and certifies corporations that provide benefits that support workers and are willing to enhance and utilize their benefits programs.
We have been certified as a "welfare promotion corporation" for four consecutive years.
