Sumitomo Riko Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nakamura-ku, Nagoya; President & CEO: Kazushi Shimizu) is pleased to announce that its automotive hoses have been adopted for the Brezza, an SUV newly launched by Maruti Suzuki India Limited (Headquarters: New Delhi, India; Managing Director & CEO: Hisashi Takeuchi).

Resin hose for fuel lines
The newly adopted hose is installed in the fuel line connecting the fuel filler inlet to the fuel tank. By replacing conventional rubber hoses with a multilayer resin structure, we reduced emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) generated by fuel. This new hose complies with India’s BS6 Phase 3 emissions regulations, which are scheduled to be introduced and strengthened from 2027, while also helping to reduce environmental impact and health risks.
