Sumitomo Riko Company Limited (Headquarters: Nakamura-ku, Nagoya; President & CEO: Kazushi Shimizu) will increase production capacity at its plant at SumiRiko Ohio, Inc. (Headquarters: Ohio, U.S.A.; hereinafter “SRK-OH”), a group company that manufactures and sells automotive anti-vibration rubber products in the U.S. Around 4.6 million USD is being invested in the plant, which is scheduled to commence operations in August 2026.

Manufacturing line scheduled to commence operations
To prepare to mass produce anti-vibration rubber for pickup trucks ordered by the North American customer, we are introducing new manufacturing equipment and strengthening our manufacturing line to enable it to flexibly respond to market changes. In the model change of the pickup truck, our product-development and -supply systems, which meet customer’s requirements, were highly praised, leading to an order for engine mounts (anti-vibration rubber).This capital investment is expected to increase SRK-OH’s production capacity by around 15%.
To align with our customers’ supply chain structures, our group has established product-development and -supply systems for anti-vibration rubber and other automotive components across five global regions, thereby securing our position as a global system supplier. By strengthening our U.S. production base, which was prompted by this order from Ford, we will further enhance our stable supply system in the North American market. Moreover, through continual investment and job creation, we will carry on contributing to the regional economy.
