In recent years, India’s prominence as a growth market has increased against the backdrop of economic expansion, and its automotive sector is also expected to grow. Moreover, demand for environmental initiatives in India is rising, driven by factors such as the advancement of vehicle electrification and tighter emissions regulations.
The Sumitomo Riko Group has been developing and supplying products while adapting to such market changes. To further strengthen our ability to address customer needs in the Indian market, we decided to establish an R&D center.
The new company will progressively develop design, evaluation, and technical service capabilities for automotive and motorcycle products, while building a framework to effectively respond to local customer needs. This will enable swifter handling of customer requests and facilitate smoother development activities. By leveraging the Group’s core competencies in “Polymer Materials Technology” and “Comprehensive Evaluation Technology”, we will strengthen our efforts to develop products tailored to local market needs.
